Best Palworld Breeding Combos: How to Breed Anubis and Rare Pals

Short answer: breed Penking + Bushi of opposite genders in the Breeding Farm. Both are field bosses you can catch early, so a powerful Anubis is within reach long before the endgame.

Place the pair in the farm, drop in a Cake, and wait for the egg. Anubis is special because it's both a top-tier fighter and the best handiwork worker in the game — a single Pal covers combat and base crafting at once.

Breeding needs a Breeding Farm and a Cake (recipe: 5 Flour, 8 Red Berries, 7 Milk, 8 Eggs and 2 Honey). Put the resulting egg into an Egg Incubator and wait for it to hatch.

There are two kinds of combos. Unique pairs are hard-coded in the game and always yield a specific Pal — our data holds 138 of them, and they're 100% exact. Every other pairing is decided by a formula: the game averages the two parents' breeding power and picks the Pal closest to that average. That's why the same Pal produces different offspring in different pairs, and why parent order doesn't matter.

Unique pairs are handy because the result is guaranteed. Here are the strongest targets worth breeding:

Mossanda + Rayhound → Grizzbolt; Grizzbolt + Relaxaurus → Orserk; Kitsun + Astegon → Shadowbeak; Vanwyrm + Anubis → Faleris; Mossanda + Petallia → Lyleen.

Orserk and Shadowbeak are among the best combat Pals in the game, Grizzbolt mixes damage with base work, and Lyleen is a top grass worker. To see which offspring fits your goal best, check the tier list.

Legendary Jetragon, Frostallion, Paladius and Necromus can't be bred from other Pals — you can only catch them (see the capture calculator). You can, however, clone them: pairing two identical legendaries yields the same one, handy for a second copy with the passives you want.

Offspring inherit their parents' passive skills — that's how you build the 'perfect' Pal. Set up a parent with the set you want (combat or work passives) and carry them down through generations to your target species.
