Where to build your base

A good base spot has flat ground (easier to place structures), nearby ore deposits, wood and stone, a water source and a fast-travel point not far away.

Open the interactive map and enable the ore-deposit and fast-travel layers — you’ll instantly see where resources cluster near a convenient point.

You can have up to four bases — spread them across biomes: one for resources and ore, one for breeding, one closer to bosses and dungeons. Each base can house up to 30 working Pals, so plan your assignments with room to spare.
